Partnering Churches

This Youth Rally is made possible through local churches coming together to encourage, connect, and invest in the next generation.

  • Partnering Church Testimony

“When Debbie contacted us about partnering with Doctor’s Creek Baptist Church for a youth rally, it was an easy yes. As I listened to her share what she felt led to do, I could immediately see the vision.

She talked about the impact that Jerusalem Project–Walterboro had on the youth and adults in our community this summer. It wasn’t something she wanted to see end when summer was over. Her heart was to keep that fire going throughout the school year to continue giving young people opportunities to grow in their faith and be encouraged to live out that faith in their schools and community.

Ashton Baptist Church is a mission-minded church and is heavily involved in the Jerusalem Project–Walterboro. Billy and I serve as the youth leaders at Ashton, and one of the things we are most passionate about is building relationships with the youth in our community and sharing with them how Jesus can change their lives.

This youth rally is an opportunity for churches to come together with one purpose: to pour into the next generation, encourage them in their walk with Christ, and remind them that their faith doesn’t have to be limited to Sunday mornings or summer mission projects. We want to see what God began stirring in the hearts of these young people throughout the year.

One of the moments that has stayed with me from Jerusalem Project–Walterboro this summer was looking around and seeing so many of our young people gathered at the altar—worshiping, praying, and calling out to Jesus. To see that many young hearts genuinely seeking the Lord was powerful. It was a reminder that God is moving among the youth in our community.

So, my appeal to parents is simple: bring them. Encourage them to come. Make room for opportunities like this in the middle of busy school schedules, sports, practices, and everything else that demands their time. Our children are growing up in a world that is constantly competing for their attention and telling them who they should be. They need continuous encouragement and support that will remind them whose they are.”
